Analysis of question six answers
What is your favourite restaurant?
a. The cheap, family-run place we go to every week.
You may be expecting an answer that suggests you’re perhaps not adventurous enough to move abroad. You could be wrong. In plenty of cultures families have a life-long relationship with a particular restaurant. Why shouldn’t you?
b. Any McDonalds
You may not be adventurous in your eating habits, but sadly, you’ll probably find the Golden Arches wherever you’re planning to move.
c. That romantic spot where we shared lobster and champagne on holiday.
Even if you move to the same area as the restaurant you probably won’t be able to afford to eat there very often and, if you can afford it, you’ll find the magic generally wears off when you’re no longer on holiday.
d. I’m still looking, but having fun trying to find it.
eems like the right answer, but in many countries people are much more patriotic about their cuisine than the Brits so you may not find the amount of choice that you’re used to in the UK.
